Your donation supports a clinic with year-round care in Pinares. Brigades of physicians, dentists, students, nurses and interpreters from Fairfax Family Practice, Shoulder to Shoulder, Inc. and their partners visit regularly and provide direct medical care and education in partnership with permanent staff on site.

Ongoing projects include water filtration, a child health initiative, cervical cancer screening, a girls’ empowerment program, and merit-based scholarships to local children.

Donations go directly to support education and service and are not used to pay for travel costs. Checks should be made out to Shoulder to Shoulder, Inc. with the notation “Pinares” on the memo line.
