Dr. Nobu likes traveling, art and culinary experiences.
Dr. Nobu was born in New Jersey. When she was 3 years old, she and her parents moved to Japan. She came back to the US at age 15 to attend a boarding school in New Hampshire. After living in New England for 3 years, she decided to explore the new frontier by going to California for college. During her sophomore year, she chose to go back to Japan for a year of study abroad to re-learn some of her cultural heritage.
When Dr. Nobu returned to California, she decided to pursue the study of medicine and specifically Family Practice. Perhaps her mother, who continues to practice medicine at age 88, was a significant influence in that decision. During her career, Dr. Nobu lived in Tanzania and manned the American Embassy Clinic from 1993 to 1995. She had been at another Family Practice office in Burke and enjoyed serving the family-oriented community in a smaller neighborhood setting for 21 years. It has been a great pleasure for her to be back at Fairfax Family Practice.
