Dr. Mauntel enjoys cooking and baking new recipes. She enjoys hiking through the Shenandoah mountains and running or biking through the city. I enjoy working with diverse communities by traveling to rural areas and different countries to learn more about global health.
Biography
Dr. Mauntel has completed Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts at The Ohio State University. She graduated medical school from the Ohio State University College of Medicine. She had additional specialization in Global Health. She has completed an Intern year of Family Medicine residency and is currently completing the final 2 years of residency with VCU Fairfax Family Practice Residency Program. Publications include research on molecular genetics studies in animal models. Currently focusing on diabetes and nutrition education as well as global and community health.
